What his profession is concerned Fierz merges away from the technical field. First he produced technical documentation then moved to the "desktop publishing" area. And then suddenly: "I am a cartoonist starting right tomorrow!" Later he became a proofreader, still part-time working as such til today.
The many-sidedness that every job on the side brings along enpowers and delivers energy for again new areas. Aiming activities that enclose body, spirit and soul at the same time.
In the year 2001 Heiner Fierz spent a private 3-month sabbatical in New York used exclusively for painting. Of course it was also a test of how to live solely as a painter. It was Fierz' conviction to be intensively and seriously creative without having to make a living out of it. A job for the basic salary is a must.
Heiner Fierz became Web publisher that came close to his former technical field. This "art", too, attracted him ever since. When programming at the ETH he calculatet a prime number such as 41 in the best case. Web publishing offers much faster a visible and even graphically attractive result! Again publishing encloses many aspects: technique, ergonomy, graphics, marketing etc. « –|
