40 meters of height stand against 50 times 60 centimeters of my canvas. How close can we go in order to still feel the whole? To minimize to a hundredth of the size I use a trick and prepare both canvasses.
The second normally serves as a sort of protection for the painted one while transporting: I lace both together by use of little stones to secure a small distance between the canvasses.
I enlarge the format using two canvasses! But this time in another way as usual, using one in portrait the other in the landscape format. This results in a total width of 110 cm and a height of 50/60 cm. A double picture of the same subject. The spectator gets an impression of the extension of the site as well as of the height. « |
