For generations the Fierz family farmed in Au near Wädenswil in the canton Zurich. So did the grandparents Jakob and Luise Fierz-Sträuli. Even his mother's folks worked "at the court". His parents, Louise and Heinrich Fierz-Renold, gave up the tiny farm, since none of the 5 children wanted to farm on.
Peter was the eldest. Heiner was born in 1957 5 hours before his twin sister Rita. they were followed by Urs and Beat.
Heiner, the gently reversed lefty, has interests for many topics. That made it no easier to later decide for a profession. Here you can see him at the bottom of his career as he finishes puzzles in the kindergarten so as to make solutions for the future.
As children the major part of our vacation time we were to play country service. Typically, Heiner came to honor to pick the sweetest cherries. These are those that are at the top.
