Everyone paints freely in whatever technique he prefers. We got a model, Myra. Today she is sleepy or closes her eyes haveway in the light. I fall into her laxness. Her presence is animating me to give my best in painting.
In the difficult, bright light I have nothing to lose. I almost can not see the colors in front of me, so that is why I will really go into colors and exagerate intensity as well as cleanness. Just about like the old Fauve painters did, who at that time strongly inspired me.
